Are you a Teacher or a Student?

Teachers:

This site has been created to assist you with teaching your students about wild animals. You can use this site to do the following:

  1. Conduct observations of the animals at the Memphis zoo. View the Zoo Camera.
  2. View additional lesson plans relating to the studying of animals, or you may choose to submit a lesson plan. To complete this, go to the Lesson Plans page.
  3. View supplemental science materials on the science links page. The science links page contains information pertaining to the general information about the birds in the aviary at the Memphis zoo. You may also view additional pictures of the birds as well. The science links page also has links to other web cameras and a sample observation form students can use to observe the animals at the zoo.

 

Students:

This site will help you to learn more about different kinds of wild animals. You will now be able to view different types of animals at the zoo without even leaving the classroom. You will be able to:

  1. Make observations of the animals at the Memphis zoo. A form has also been linked to the page to give you guidelines to follow when making observations of the animals. Go to form. View the Zoo Camera.
  2. The science links page has been created in order for you to learn more information about the characteristics of the birds in the aviary at the Memphis zoo. You may also view additional pictures of the different birds as well. The science links page also has links to other web cameras.
